Irish rock act "LaRocca" had their van containing all of their equipment stolen following their show at the Trocadero the night of November 5th outside of the Holiday Inn on Packer Avenue. Bjorn and Simon Baillie from the band LaRocca wrote to us with their story and gear manifest. Please help get the word out about the sketchiness of the Holiday Inn on Packer Avenue!!!
Simon from LaRocca wrote: It seems we now join the very long list of bands that have had their van and gear stolen in Philly. We awoke yesterday at the Holiday Inn on Packer Avenue to find our van 'Big Phil' gone. All our gear was in the van. The Police came and took a statement and went through the usual. Nice enough. Not what I can say for the hotel staff. Not one member of staff offered any assistance. Which is very alarming considering this has happened 4 times in the last year! All our cases and Amps had LA ROCCA stencilled in white on them and the list of guitars etc is as follows: WHITE 1997 DODGE RAM VAN - INSTRUMENTS - Roland XP30 (BP56576) Rickenbacker 4005 Bass (23884) Yamaha Oak Custom Drum Kit Fender Telecaster (M23004737) Line 6 Delay Modeler Pedal If anyone sees or hears about any of this stuff in the coming months please contact us on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or through our myspace www.myspace.com/laroccamusic The gear and van is insured but the Gibson L6-S is totally irreplacable. kind regards La Rocca Thanks to Selene for the initial tip |
